August 27, 2007: HearthStone Homes Hosts MDA Gold Event

Omaha homebuilder, HearthStone Homes, will partner with the Muscular Dystrophy Association and business partners to help those with neuromuscular disease at the 1st Annual HearthStone Homes MDA Golf Classic, Thursday, August 30.
Dollars raised will help fund a worldwide research effort. Additionally, funds support MDA pediatric and adult neuromuscular clinics held at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. MDA dollars also assist in the provision of prescribed durable medical equipment such as wheelchairs, leg braces and communication devices. The local MDA office also provides support groups for patients and caregivers. These important services cannot compare, however, to what many youngsters with muscular dystrophy consider the best week of the year: MDA Summer Camp. The Nebraska camp is held in June each year at Camp Comeca in Cozad.
