May 6, 2008: Habitat For Humanity 2008 Builder's Blitz

Three Omaha Builders will build three new Habitat homes in seven days during Habitat for Humanity’s 2008 Builder’s Blitz. Area builders, HearthStone Homes, JT Builders and The M Group, will partner with Habitat for Humanity of Omaha and build the homes starting May 31 to June 7.
The three Omaha homes will be located at 3306 Manderson, 3308 Manderson and 3320 Manderson. Crews will start every morning at 7 AM and work until 9 PM in the evening.
The Home Builders Blitz is a national partnership between Habitat for Humanity International and the building industry to build homes across the nation, making the dream of homeownership a reality for hundreds of families around the country.
In the first national Home Builders Blitz in 2006, more than 1,000 professional home builders came together to build 459 homes at 130 Habitat affiliates across the country, providing housing for nearly 2,000 people. Families experienced the compassion and enthusiasm of builders while witnessing their homes go from framed to finished in just one week!
This is the first time Omaha will participate in Habitat’s Home Builders Blitz. The goal is ambitious — to build in every state across the nation. We want to be a leader in our community and our state through participating in this nationwide event.
